Hey guys, here soon I'm getting some interior lights for my 07 Libby. I want to wire them through a toggle and through the fuse panel or power distribution center so they wont be on if the key isnt in. just in case I forget to turn the toggle off. How do I wire something cleanly into an empty fuse slot. I dont want wires stickin out all over the place so I would like to wire it in from the back of the panel like everything else is. Tips, pointers, and especially pictures would be very helpful here

What I did for my huge wiring set up is to get a fuse tap and connect it into the radio fuse. The radio fuse is only powered when truck is running. From the fuse tape I run a 150 amp relay that then goes to my own power distribution center located on the passengers side where the fuse box would be on a right hand drive libby. At first I used this set up but now I just turn a battery disconnect switch rated at 1000 amps to turn my stuff on and off.

^ That's what I did to hardwire my Garmin and also a USB charger I mounted in the glove compartment. Works like a champ. :)

Actually dc wiring is very simple compared to ac house wiring. Remember the worse thing that can happen is you blow a fuse.

Actually, with the right amount of current you can fry your wiring harness or burn the Jeep to the ground...

Don't forget to disconnect the negative battery terminal when doing wiring work...

In my liberty 2005 sport, the radio fuse is always on (in the drivers side fuse box). Is there another one ?

You may have the wrong fuse number. What fuse number do you think the radio is?

Fuse 34 controls all BCM and interior functions, door remote lock/unlock, interior lights, radio and much more. But it has always power. Radio may have another signal cable - connector that powers on when the ignition is on.
