Hi Guys!

Many thanks for allowing me to join up.

Just picked up our 2002 3.7 Limited yesterday, with a few problems :happy175:

We've bought this car to take part in a charity budget rally this year, driving from Edinburgh all the way to Rome, and back.

I found our KJ in need of urgent rehoming. A deal was struck to bring the girl home with us, that kept within the limited budget as set out by the event rules.

We've a growing list of problems, and I hope to find some of the answers on this fabulous resource you guys have created.

So far, we've (almost) sterilised the interior and looking to machine polish at the weekend. I've ordered an OBD reader, hood struts and a CV joint so far.

Lots to do, but we've got until the end of June to have her ready.

Hope you guys don't mind me asking for the answers to some of the many problems our Jeep has :worship:

Cheers!

Scott

Problems so far:
Front prop shaft CV joint seized
Oil leak
Broken crankcase vent valve
EML light on
Cruise control not working, but lights up
air con needs regassed (I hope that's all)
Central locking not working
No remote locking plipper thingy
Tail gate won't open
Hood struts need replacing

That's the list so far, we'll see what else we find at the weekend

We don't, but, we are driving to Rome and I think we'll need the aircon working for that.

Otherwise, we'll need to take our sweaters off ;-)

Thanks Leeann.

Already got one on order from this side of the pond.

Once it's here, I'll get it up on the ramps and find where this oil leak is coming from.

Should be a few deliveries this week, look forward to working through some of these faults and making the old girl right, again.

You better get the Aircon working quickly if you are heading to Rome in June, you are looking at +30C during the day and on the Motorways heading south it will be even warmer :bawl:....
Best of luck with your Charity Ride, would be nice to see some pictures in due course pics2.gif
I am also in the UK but sadly further south but do love to go up to Scotland every year.

We've plenty time, mate. I've been a few times by bike, and had to endure the temps while dressed in full leather.

Thankfully, the garage across the road from the office does a full aircon service, so they'll take care of it for me in due course.

There'll be LOADS of pictures, if you're on facebook, click the link in my sig to see our progress - before, during and after, and all the fundraising we'll be trying.

Hope you enjoy your trip up here!
