I took over the 03 KJ from the wife cuz my 95 XJ got smushed.
Now I'm finding that there doesn't seem to be alot out there for the 03 3.7 KJ.
I'm sure that everyone here will be able show me differently.
Looking forward to having some fun.

Welcome aboard! (welcome)

Whereabouts are you from in Michigan?

What kind of stuff are you looking for, for the KJ?

No its not like building a XJ, TJ, or Jk just walking in a Off Road shop and ordering everything you could ever dream about BUT there is a lot available if you look and they can be built into a great rig
There are lifts , bumpers, skids, gears, lockers, steel front diffs to replace the D30a, and all kinds of things
Check www.jeepinbyal.com for some products, www.boulderbars.com , etc
Heres a couple of KJs to look at, silver one 3.75 lift with 245-75-16 my old ARB front bumper , my black one over 4 inches of lift,( JBA adjustable coilovers , JBA UCAs ) 4.10s, 32s, Moabs, Skid Row, JBA, and Kilby skids etc

Ouch

Looks like a nice XJ, had 3 of them before I got the KJ. All bought new driven a bunch of miles, built up etc Like the KJ better for overall ride etc. Stock ride is crap but lifted they ride great

Used to live in the Toledo area,.............. too darn close to Michigan:whip::icon_lol:

Nullptr, I'm in the down river area.

Cool, I'm originally from up around Flint myself.

Oh wow... that's really nasty. :jawdrop:

That's a darned shame to see a nice looking XJ like that, but at least it did it's final job and your here to talk about it. Think of the KJ as a slightly bug-eyed Cherokee with an IFS and you'll like it just fine. I've noticed mine is a lot more comfortable than my old XJ, rides better, and gets much better mileage (also, burns a lot less oil...). Would be nice if it had the aftermarket support of the XJ, but you can't win them all I suppose.

I "liked" your post, not because of what happened but because you're still around to tell the tale.

Good to have you here. :favorites13:

Welcome!

Holy cow! Glad you're ok! Doesn't look like the A pillars held up too well on the XJs. Love the XJs but that looks scary close.
