What happened to my forum history?

Says I only have 7 posts. I had like 2000!
Plus, now I can't post to the For Sale section.
What's Up?

I think you already know what happened
Its right there above your name
They have your whole history going through it now

Party in power is busy re-writing it...

And why do I have the DHS logo? I never put that in..... It is where I work but my
Logo was a pic of my jeep.

Sounds like you were either hacked or erased. :gr_grin:

I had an issue recently myself. I was sort of erased. Partly my fault as I forgot my password. PITA part was the retrieval system on this site is a joke and the alleged "webmaster" was useless. Kept saying it had sent an email to me at the correct email address to reset but never got one. :favorites68:

Finally gave up and rejoined with a different email address. Hence my signature. :mad3:

Not really that big of deal to me, just sort of annoying. This is actually the second time this has happened. A few years ago I did the same thing and the retrieve password failed to deliver the reset email. Never got any error or anything and got the usual message that the email had been sent but not to me. I eventually tracked down my old password and was able to get back on, but this time no go. Webmaster eventual responded but didn't do squat and probably had to get back to his World of Warcraft or something. :happy175:

That stinks though. How did it start - did someone get ahold of your initial password somehow?

Not that I know of. I just couldn't log on one day with my auto log on after doing an OS upgrade and figured I'd just use the "forgot password" feature. I've done it many times on other sites including forums without any trouble, and it seemed okay here too until I never received the reset email. Tried several times over a few days. Username was fine and it said it sent it to the email I provided which is the only one I ever use for this stuff but never showed.

No big deal now but just annoying at the time since I had a question to ask at the time. Overall this is a great site that has helped me immensely over the 6 years I've been using it. A lot of great info from some very knowledgeable and helpful folks.
