so the jeep wouldnt start today, don't know why. Nothing left on (everything auto shuts off anyway). Is cold and had been sitting for over a day, but battery is only 3 years old, and had it and the alternator tested for no problems. anyway, fortunately i was at work, and we have a jump pack but next time i may not be at work.

Any suggestions on a good jump pack!

A joke, :emotions34:no never joke about serious things :icon_lol:
Work great completely dead battery start almost faster than a jump from a running car. Will hold a charge for several months, charges cell phone in half the time in most cases, power your laptop etc
Troy has one from maybe SnapOn or one of those suppliers that he uses , got it a few months back

That is a small portable wonder jumper for sure. Long term, Very convenient to say the least!
I wonder how many years it lasts though? Keep it warm, I would not leave it in jeep overnight when freezing.
I still prefer to have more juice and a AGM rechargeable booster.
I have had this one for over 6 years now and still going strong. Just charge it once a month.
This comes with me in the Jeep in winter & on camping trips. Has a built in tire inflator as well.
The Agm in this until is 600CCA, its a bit heavy but not too bad.
The inverter is real handy and it can be charged by plugging into 12 acc socket or use of supplied 120v adapter.

As the cold drains batteries quick, I also bring this inside if it is sub zero outside.

I got a similar booster pack for the KJ from Canadian Tire for ~$100 on sale. Besides jumpstarting, it can pump up tires, and has USB and 12v sockets for other accessories.

There's some Cat(erpiller) branded ones now too with even more features.

Shows at $84.88 on Amazon for me - just shows how they have dynamic pricing.

Point - I see more and more of these, they all seem to be similar. Do they all come out of the same Asian plant with different names?

Just ordered it off amazon, 98.09 no tax, no shipping. thanks for the suggestion

Nice jump pack...might need to acquire one of those.

On another note, a few years back ours would have a dead battery if left for a few days in the cold weather...here I am at the airport parking lot disconnecting the battery terminals just so I wouldn't have to contend with a dead battery after a trip. Discovered the factory battery was garbage, but also the lighter combo phone charger unit I bought would cause the computer to stay on, thus drawing down the battery. If it's going to be cold I unplug anything from the lighter socket.
