I thought lots about new wheels, then one day my misses was driving, hit a big rock at speed and put a hole in the tyre I could get my hand in and bent the rim. As I have stock steels I just went to the scrap yard and picked up a new rim for next to nothing that matches my existing steels.

Moabs have 5 inches of back spacing but 8 inches wide so they sit the same as a 4 inch backspaced 7 inch wide

One the more question for you Tom. Found a set of Craigers soft dates 8 inch wide 5 inches of backspacing so those should be the same As the moab you think those would work well? was kind of looking 4 the same luck I had with my stock wheels and it And 1 1/2"spacers

If your going to use soft 8's and your buying new get 7 inches wide and 4 inch BS.

The only reason moabs are choosen over soft 8's is looks or the desire to not use steel rims or you don't like soft 8's. The 8 inch wide wheel isn't as desireable for the widths a KJ will run. ie 245 - 265.

Also be aware that the soft 8's are much heavier than the stock aluminum wheels, or the moabs. Some have reported a decent hit to the mpg's...
