So I knew about this when I went to get the truck but it totally slipped my mind... Look at the awesome custom front drive shaft she came with :) oh... and just installed moog rack and pinion bushings, and stabilizer links and bushings :)

driveshaft

I bought one of these early last year, to replace my worn out original. put it in and at mid to high speed had a little vibration, called them up, guess it was a common problem. instead of stead sending new, they couldn't assure me that it wouldn't happen again.. weird ! they sent me my $ back. funny thing is its not on a hard angle! just my experience. funny thing is , it wasn't on a hard angle.

Yep you can't run a u-jointed front driveshaft on a KJ,you will always have vibs.

What do you have in yours? IIRC you have an atlas transfer case and with the SFA what do you use for a front driveshaft? I'm kinda curious because one of these years I want to put a SFA in mine.

I must honestly say thAt this kj feels like a damn Cadillac compared to my old beast. This truck feels so damn refined and smooth like butter. It really is like having a new truck! I do not feel these vibrations at all it coasts so smoothly down the road under and off acceleration.

If you look at the pinion angle at the front diff, and at the transfer case, you'll notice that both of the flanges are pointing upward. This causes a bind, premature wear, and vibrations with u-joints, because for pinion angles to be set right, one flange end wants to be pointing up and the other down by close to the same amount (in degrees). But this is not an issue with cv joints, which is why ours have a cv type driveshaft.

I dunno guys I feel none of this vibration that's being spoken about... This truck feels like a brand new vehicle. And knowing how many times i changed the cv heads on my old front driveshaft... I feel like I have peace of mind with the spicer joints...
