A liberty with no rust on the doors. And without an oil leak is rare.

The were wearing seatbelts, kind of. The car had automatic seat belts but with a manual lap belt that I'm willing to bet money they weren't wearing. I never wore the lap belt either. That, and my parents are very fragile.

I've always wanted to know who exactly was the so called ''Genius'' behind the Automatic Seat Belt so I can strangle them slow and mercilessly. I was nearly killed by the ones in my Escort because I leaned through the window to turn the key to the ON position since I was fixing the back speakers and the seat belt retracted. I RARELY panic, but I was able to unlatch it before it was too late. Left me shaken though.

Actually you most likely do have rust on your doors. when you open your doors up look at the seam at the bottom of the door and tell us then that you do not have rust. I am just saying this because I thought that I had not rust until I looked and well I stopped that rust in its place with this amazing product called POR15.

Yeah, they were a b*tch that is for sure. They were cool, for like the first 10 car rides, then I hated them. I ended up getting in the habit of not putting seat belts on because I was used to them just going on their own.

Yep, I have the "Liberty door rust" as well. Starts at the pinch seam and works it's way around to the front. Being in the salt belt of the U.S. though, it doesn't totally surprise me. I've seen plenty of vehicles the same age in much worse condition than mine.

First thing my mechanic said when he was introduced to my 02 5-speed Renegade was, "That's a rare bird!"

I saw a five speed 05 liberty with a turbo diesel in it at a truck pull last summer. I was blown away.

Sent from space by the force of gravity.
