I am having a problem, about a week ago after filling the tank I restarted the Jeep and low fuel warning chimmed and the needle went to empty. It has not moved since, but upon starting it chimes once. Yesterday I got on the interstate and realized that my cruise control doesn't work either. Really don't need to spend a chunk right now to have the fuel pump replaced.

Probably the sensor in the tank. My LR3 had the same issue over the summer.

Cruise could be the clockspring maybe, again the LR3 also had that issue at one point in time and that was the culprit. :D

Cruise

While I am saving for the fuel sending unit and pump here's another question. I noticed that the cruise control doesn't work about a day after the fuel gauge quit working. The light doesn't come on when you turn it on and a visual inspection I don't see any problem with the lines to the actuator. Is it possible that the cruise won't come on when the sending unit quit. The gauge is on empty. I did the self diagnostic of the instrument cluster and everything looked good.
