After sitting on it for a few days I finally got around to making a bracket to mount a 10' combo spot/flood LED bar. All I can say is it lights things up like no one's business and it was free :)

I'll get pics of my mount shortly. Fairly simple with three pieces of flat steel bolted together utilizing the Rigid brackets. I pulled the grille and extended the two fingers toward the radiator where I was able to attach two stainless sheet metal screws through the cover to the bumper beam underneath. Two more holes through the cover closer to the light just to help avoid any lateral motion. When I sell it all I have to hide is the two holes on the bumper cover for which decorative trim bolts would work nicely.

Is the bar secured pretty well? Doesn't vibrate a ton while driving? I'm asking cause I'm searching for info on mounting like a 10"-25" wide LED light bar on the front bumper and saw some discussion here on the topic of where to mount... I've been using the search feature and this is the best info I've actually found so far. I'm not concerned about drilling and having to possibly fab some support under the bumper but I want to make sure there's at least something under there to tie into if needed to support it.

It's a xmas gift idea for my Dad and I'm sure I'll be the one doing the install. Fab wise, I'm not concerned but if it's going to involve a 2 day project to rebuild half the front clip to give it some support where it doesn't just flex around then I'll abandon the gift idea. Any pictures or word or info on mounting a LED light bar on the front bumpers of these KJ's? I'd look myself but I haven't been able to get a peep under the front of his jeep when he hasn't been present and I know he'll put 2 and 2 together if he sees me poking around it...
