Replacing cv shafts

And I just received one in the mail, yes just one because of shipping problems, but I have no idea which side they sent me, I had to order a passenger and driver side so I know they are different, I would like to start at least with one side but I can't until I know what side it's for. The driver's (left) side has a male end that goes into the differential. The passenger (right) side has a female fitting that accepts the intermediate shaft that goes into the differential.
