the last positioning is literally the ony one that looks good.

But I'd prefer the light bar, or to do nothing but delete the roof rails.

ive never thought of this on my kj, but it would look nice if done right. im still trying to decide on mounting the led light bars under the dash for floor lights.

I've actually done this and it brightens it up ALOT

I like them. I'll bet a lot of folks slow down when they see you coming up behind them, though. :dogpile:

OP, how to write up please? Had this thought about a year ago and then scratched it. Also, parts and price list?

I will try an do a write up here soon, honestly I just followed the instructions that came in the package. Got a pack of 5 lights and a switch for $19.95 from local auto parts store. You will also need to remove the headliner partially up front as you have to drill and mount them. The part that took the longest was getting them set exactly where I wanted them, lots of measuring. They came with a template you trace once you have them placed where you like them, just drill and screw them on. I also used some RVT sealant just to ensure no leaks.

It's not bad at all, just a power lead a neutral and ground with a standard toggle switch, got the whole kit for $20 at local auto store have had no issues thus far.

I was thinking hook it up to the running/parked lights. I really don't want another switch.

Looks slick!

I've been thinking a lot about doing the same with the new smoked Denali HD marker lights...couldn't find a better pic

I smoked the lenses with VHT nightshade, I was having issues hooking up to running/parked lights, kept blowing the fuse when I turned everything on so I just put them on a seperate circuit and they are happier that way!

Well I was going to have a separate power source for the lights but use a relay connected to the parking light. That way when the parking lights are on it turns the relay. Am I thinking correctly?

I am thinking fuse tap to slot #7 (drivers side front/rear park light and license plate light). While I don't like the idea of a fuse tap this makes it much much easier for me than digging for wires in my dash. Just connect that to a relay with separate power and I should be good to go. If this is too much power for the circuit I will probably change out the lights to LEDs.

Edit: forgot to mention they are hooked up to the parking lights/headlights through a relay
