Were up at houghton lake, mi and I am seeing a lot of ORV rides. I was wondering if anyone knows where some good scenic trails are? I've seen the maps online of hundreds of trails, but I believe they are for ATVs not jeeps. I'm not looking for mud or mountains. Just dirt in the woods. ( daily driver) thanks!

Jeepfrog and her hubby go to the Manistee trails often enough - you might want to ask her.

That trail looks to be 2-3 hours away from my location. Looking for dead middle of the state.

2 tracks and fire roads seasonal roads are over by Mio and Rose City, too.
Some ORV trails might allow auto's.2 tracks do not require ORV sticker. So
Go for a drive see what you find.

Are they're links for these trails with info? I am only connecting to the net 3 times a day and Google isn't telling me anything.

This.

Also, a lot of seasonal roads north of Rose City (about 45mins away), about 12 miles north of Rose City is Bull Gap, which is a pretty fun area to wheel. Even closer than that though is the St. Helen Open Area, which is only about 20 mins away. Would have to check if vehicles are allowed, but im reasonably sure they are.

Both of these areas are to the east-southeast of Houghton Lake.

There is a 50% chance I will be in the area Friday night through Sunday. My mom lives up there, its where I grew up. I havent made up my mind yet as I also have an offer to be in Kalamazoo.

That's the new Michigan plate? It looks upside down.

I prefer the old plain blue ones with white lettering. I have a few hung in my garage.

Made us get rid of them claimed law enforcement could read reflective backing better than reflective letters.
And that pic is one of many different plates available. Well to many!

Yes!

That's it!!!

It IS upside down! The "wave" and "michigan.org" should be on top and the slogan, "Pure Michigan" should be on the bottom! I knew there was something wrong with it but couldn't put my finger on it.

I'm heading out to Denton creek trail, finally found a spot from a local advanced auto store. I'll be on the east trail between 127 and m18, south of the lake. If any wants to meet up text me 443 473 4477
