thats a good idea, i will work on that this weekend and see if it helps. i will first take the cv out and drive it to check for changes and then the intermediate shaft if the noise still exists?

I think the intermediate shaft at this point will be rusted to the CV shaft and near impossible to separate from it. I hear that's what happens. I think you HAVE to drive without the shaft when the CV is pulled, but once again not sure. Someone else can chime in to help you out here.

ok, if i have to take it out i will, do you know the size of the axle nut off hand? if i recall its not a normal 6 sided nut. 12pt i think?

I wouldn't want to leave the Int shaft in there without the cv anyways... there would be nothing holding it in but a wee little c clip.

Ok, Good to know. my luck not knowing that i would have left it in there and then everyone would seeme in the WTB section looking for an intermidiate shaft lol

Generally 9 out of 10 times both come out together
If you're going to drive it make sure you plug the hole up

If you're going to replace the CV on the rigth side I'd replace the intermediate shaft regardless since it has to be worn some. Cheap insurance to prevent more issues down the road . One of the reasons I keep at least one intermediate shaft in stock all the time.
