My part time light Is on when my lever is in 2HI. When I put it in 4HI it doesn't say anything like it's in 2HI. When I put it in 4LOW it says 4 low on my dash. I don't understand What's happening. The mechanical part still works the same with the lever so I'm not that worried. and I've reset my computer twice so I can't explain it???

No, it won't hurt anything, mines been like that since I owned it. And I've read other people say the same, it's just more of something that may bug someone more than others.

The usual issue here is a contamination of the circuit board that lives inside the sensor. Look at page 2 of that how-to and you can see what the insides look like.

The sensor measures resistors to determine it's position.

Also, I was under the assumption that the Libby had different settings that the PCM used when you were in 4WD vs. 2WD - For example a tendency for engine breaking instead of coasting.

When mine broke, it seemed as if the electronics thought it was in Part Time all the time. Not sure if it was in my head or not, but it appeared to coast less, i'll give you that. I fixed it the next day though, so not a lot of extensive testing.

I took it out cleaned it with wd-40 and pressed The sensor in And Out Quite a Few Times and it's working right now I shifted from hi to each 4x4 setting and back and it's working correctly so far. Thanks for the idea!

And the way I understood the liberty's 4x4 Is nothing changes engine wise until 4 Low. I'm not saying this is true. That's just what I've heard. I very well could be wrong because I thought my MPGs went down but there again I was using crappy cheap gas and I normally run pure gas.

Get you some electric cleaner before you squirt wd in some thing that will not like it.

pure gas?

Ethanol vs Non Ethanol. When I run Non Ethanol (what I called pure gas, sorry for the confusion) I get 2-3 MPGs better than when I use gas with Ethanol. And it's only 20 cents more but I get 38-50 more MPGs Than when I use the cheaper gas so it's worth it to me to spend an extra $3.80-$4 per fill up

Wd-40 is close to ATF+4 and it was in that fluid so I figured it would be okay. If it does it again I'll use the cleaner that you said. But so far it's still working. Thanks for the help!

By the way, how does that thrush glass pack sound?
