I don't know about that muffler, but a Flowmaster Super 44 is one of the best sounds on a Liberty...

I ordered the SoundFX anyway. Hopefully it really is a direct fit. I am replacing the cats too and just looking for a subtle change in sound while being stock appearing. I use my Jeep for the job - a loud muffler will get old quick. Been there, done that.

I have it, looks like a direct fit. $52 at RockAuto. OEM appearing muffler with 2 tubes instead of 3. A little more "burble" is all I want. New catalytic converters are in transit now.

I'll be curious how your installation with the cats. I recently did the driver's/left side cat and it looks to be a breeze compared to the passenger/right side cat.

Getting to the O2 sensor connectors looks to be harder on the right side - let us know how it goes with the cats and how you like the Walker muffler.

P.S. Did you get Walker cats too?

My 2 cats are one piece with the y pipe. I could have cut the pipe and replaced them separately but just 1 was almost as expensive. It's the left cat that is rattling. I figure the right one is not far behind in failing.

I ordered a Magnaflow unit that was about $550 and I got a $50 discount and free shipping from Advance Auto Parts on Christmas eve. There was an Eastern cat assy. at RockAuto for $381 but I didn't trust it.

As for the 02 sensors - I have "eyeballed" the connectors, I am concerned about the upper right one. I am tempted to order them too but I'll wait and see on that.

That tailpipe looks really crimped in the bend there, also looks smaller than 2.5 inches may just be the way the picture shows it but???

Yes they all are 2.5 then neck down into muffler, then tail pipe is 2.5. Most everyone cuts out the 2.25 inch back to 2.5 inch so the muffler is 2.5 both ends
Stock tail pipe flows well without replacing

I had to do an oil change yesterday so I was already under my Jeep. I couldn't wait to see what the new muffler sounded like so I installed it before the cats came in.... It's no louder than my stock "Sport" muffler! Maybe a little more growl under acceleration and that's it. So unless you don't care what it sounds like, I don't recommend the Walker SoundFX.
