What Turbo for the CRD???

So I just took my CRD into the shop a week ago, because the check engine light has been on and the shop said it was the turbo. It has 97k on it and has been lacking power. I was curious if anyone knows what turbo is stock and if anyone has put something bigger in it??? I've been looking at GDE's turbo kit but i didnt want to spend $2500 right now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You sure the turbo is toast? What codes are you getting?
Maybe something other than the turbo itself eg. blown CAC hoses or the turbo vane actuator stuck.

Nfac, like Bill said, I have a friend with a CRD and one mechanic said he had a blown turbo when in fact it was a split in the CAC hose, that's why so many are going to the silicone hoses!

What Turbo for the CRD???
