What did you do to your jeep today?

Installed new hood struts. Now not only does my hood not fall on my head, it will open by itself from just under halfway.

I use a 2x4 as a make shift prop :icon_mrgreen: I just don't feel like buying new lift supports the 2x4 works well enough.

Replaced the Plugs, and coils- no help

Washed it....well I didn't wash it, I just sat in it as I went thru the autowash.
Then I filled the gas tank, checked the fluids and set the tire pressures.

Drove around the neighborhood, washed it, and placed the dogs some seat covers in it.

Replaced the clevis to lower control arm bushings.

Now THAT was a pain in the :favorites68:

That was getting to irritating for me. And it was getting in the way.... and I have to change the radiator so it would really get in the way. And i havent done anything to the jeep in a while so I had to get my fix.

dropped off at the stealership- having issues with headlight sensors on my 2012 KK
This is after they replaced the tow/haul switch and before that they had to replace the entire sat. radio system that did not work when I bought it new 9mos ago. what the hell!!

I paid to have the oil changed and tires rotated.....I'm so ashamed

I know how you feel, it does get in the way. I'm currently still doing some work on the kj ( god it's a pain, will post pics of final product). Once I get the itch to do something to it again I'll more then likely change them out.

Changed a hub bearing. That S.O.B was really on there ! Went from mopar tool #BFH to RBFH haha

You got 2 out of 3...

Balljoint press, a torch, a 1 1/8" socket, a breaker bar, and some grease...And a healthy collection of cuss words.

Given the headaches to replace that bushing it makes more sense to just replace the entire lower control arm. Only difference in changing control arms vs just the clevis bushing is the two bolts that hold the arm to the cradle and probably an alignment. Saw that JBA has the LCA's for $138 ea.

Well worth it IMO.

I managed to snap the right timing chain idling.

Got a Curt Hitch Receiver for Christmas and the box arrived pretty beat up. Opened it up, and the hitch was so badly bent that the bolt holes were off by a good inch or two. Had it exchanged for a new one which arrived a few days later.

Had my brother come over the other day to help get it installed and realized that the threads on the exhaust side were completely rusted over. The threads on the driver's side were fine because I had a tow hook installed (for sale now by the way :gr_grin. Picked up a M12-1.75 tap, retapped the threads, and the bolts thread in like a hot knife through butter now. Only problem I'm having now is undoing the rubber exhaust hanger so I can move the pipe out of the way to tap the last hole. Anyone have any tips? I'm guessing I'll just have to soak it in WD-40 and pry the hell out of it.

Installing a hitch in a pain in the :censored:. I had the same problem with my threads.

For my KJ, I changed the manual transmission and transfer case fluids.

Yeah I blame myself for not testing the threads beforehand. In any case I've got 5/6 threads tapped and ready to go. It's just that damn rubber exhaust linkage!

Switched from dino to full synthetic motor oil over Xmas break as well. Due to change it in about 3k then will change every 6k from there on out.

My Reese hitch only called for 2 bolts on each side. I was surprised, to say the least. But it's on! Just did it yesterday.

got the ****** fluid changed..much needed heh
