Its fairly basic. Your not really trying to sand much off. Just scuff the surface so the paint or bedliner has something good to stick to. And after sanding you could clean it with soap and water if you wanted to, that just take longer to dry. Use a solvent like acetone or somthing, hat dries a hell of a lot quicker.

I took everything off when I did mine. All flares and both bumpers. Sprayed it with the Dupli-color bed armor. And soon I'm going to go back and do it with some roll-on herculiner.

I need to go over mine with the roll on. I had some runs with spray that i need to even out.

Im usually good. I just wasnt worried so much about even coats since its such a rough finish. So to any one planning on using the spray on be liner. Just take your time and do a few light coats until you have good coverage.

Don't use POR15. I did mine with it, went on great and looked awesome for about the first month or two. It did fade in the sun which I was expecting because it's not UV resistant, but I didn't mind because the initial finish was super glossy. But after a couple months it's not holding up. Scratches and then peels off in strips. It basically just wrapped the plastic instead of bonding with it. At least removal will be pretty easy if I want to redo it with something else.

The dupli color i used peels too but no issues with fading so far. I just touch it up as needed. A friend of mine used some product which name escapes me at the moment. But any way its supposed to create a really good bond for painting on plastics. Ill see him tonight so ill ask what its called.

I also used the dupi-color and its been on now for about 6 months and its held up great. But i also went maybe overboard on the prep. I sprayed down bulldog adhesion promoter and on top of that i sprayed down krylon fusion for plastics as a second primer. Then i went into spraying the bedliner.

I think that bulldog stuff may be what i was thinking of. How good is it?

I used the duplicolor on my badges and and the rear lift handle and Grill on my 2012 KK
preped with sand paper and sprayed ain't coming off and looks good plan on doing the fenders and bumpers just need the new plastic rivits and the time

I know a lot of people speak highly of it. The only downside of it if you buy it in the spray can is that its clear so its hard to get an even coat.

How did you get the emblems done so neatly? Did you take them off and put them back on or just masking tape everything off really good?
