02 Fuel Filter...........

I have just read on Holmadick's plug wires post that a couple of people mentioned the fuel filter was a serviceable item on the 02's. (Mine is the 2.4 4 ******) I didn't realise this and after a bit of looking around, I have found the fuel filter part number etc but cant find the time/mileage to change it so I was wondering whether there was a specific time to change it in the service schedule or whether it was just if it gave a problem? They do not have a mileage or time,just change every 30k like every other gas fuel filter.

is it possible to do this completely from underneath, or does the carpet and "trap door" have to be pulled for access?

You can do it all from underneath,the gas tank must be dropped a few inches though(at least 6").
