So i want to put a set of tow hooks on the front of my 02 libby sport. No steel bumpers or brush guard, just want something i can bolt to the frame or other suitable point. Any one know of a good distributor or maybe a store that sells them? (I hate waiting for shipping) or maybe a better product. Would also like to install a set in the rear until i buy and install a hitch.

OE ones would be your best bet. Dealer or junk yard might have them in stock.

A new rear tow hook will run you $100 plus shipping. You're better off just buying the hitch instead.

You need the OEM ones with the proper mounting hardware.

Yup...
Pretty much stuck with the OEM tow hooks unless you fabricate your own mounting brackets to work on the unitized frame of the Liberty.
Or save your cash and buy an ARB front bumper or Detours off road winch mount which both have provisions built in for towing points.

I would love to get steel bumpers but i dont want to sag my fresh lift (didnt get the heavy weight springs) and wouldnt i need to re-gear my diffs? Not something i really wanted to

How much do oem hooks run? And does any one have a link to an image of them? I want to compare the mounts to a reese set my friend gave me last night.

I agree with Ry. Check out the Detours Backbone - really nice setup, strongly built, will support the weight of the KJ lifted off the ground. And it's light weight - only around 50lbs or so before a winch so it won't bother your new lift. Only $350 + shipping.

Adding armor doesn't require you to regear - going up a couple of tire sizes gets you into regear territory though.

Backbone weighs in at 39 lbs. with installation hardware, winch about 80-95 lbs. with installation hardware, cable, roller fairlead, etc. (lighter if you go with synthetic rope) a couple of clevis shackles 2 lbs.
So 121-136 all in.
Even with bigger 245-75's you can use stock gearing until you want to regear to improve/ return performance and so the engine doesn't work as hard.
Great setup.

Thats a pretty cool set up. How does it look with out a winch though? Im not really looking to go crazy, i dont want to spend cash i dont have on a winch i will very rarely use. Any other light weight after market bumpers out there? Just needs recovery points, hooks or D rings, and doesnt need to to be able to support a winch.

Just go order some OEM tow hooks from a dealership.
That'll be the least expensive, cost effective setup for
your Liberty.

Thats what i figured. I really do want get some nice basic bumpers, maybe tubular ones if they make them. I suppose i get mounts welded to what ever the hell i want. Any way whats the difference between the way oem hooks mount vs. Say a set of reese hooks?

Well, for starters the oem hooks have three mounting points as opposed to two. Angled mounting plates as opposed to flat mounting plates. M-bolt or stud plate as opposed to no M-bolt or stud plate. I could go on...

OEM uses an "M" shape mounting bracket with three bolts (I could be wrong here)
Reese or anyother tow hooks have two mounting holes in parallel about 1.5 1.75 inches
apart. The Reese hooks also usually have a stainless steel spring "Keeper" to close
off the hook opening to keep a recovery strap from coming off the hook.
