Now before some get all happy, they will not be fixing any SRS systems so if your light is on this recall maynot fix your issue. All they are doing is putting a noise filter on the SRS controller wires, same type of filter found on most USB cables(big bulb looking things at either end). It's not a "free airbag system fix".

It's happened to less then 0.3% of the effected vehicles.

I remember the first gen airbag system,a medium tap from a 2lbs hammer to the front bumper would set them off(trust me I know),these were installed on vehicles with steel bumpers still, mostly cop cars.Boy had alot of fun with a 2lbs hammer growing up:smokin:

im still on the fence about sending it in because my luck isnt that could with cars. if i dont send it in it will go off when im driving and if i do send it in the clowns at the dealership will somehow mess up n which will cause more problems

Could be worst, you guy remember in 2011 when GM recalled some model due to the steering wheel falling off while driving. I would have ******* in my pants personally.

I mean I could hardly care. Hasn't affected me any and it takes little to no time to fix. It is what it is. It's safety.

GM recall one car due to missing front brake pads.

Eitherway honda and toyota are battling to see who can recall the most vehicles,I believe both are well over 14 million each alone this year.

missing front brake pad! How the hell did that car even made to the test drive! LOL!!! At least, here you buy the car you try. And that's why my GF didn't bought the cruze, second out of the parking and the check engine was blinking...lol...
But yeah, recall record are abysmal since 2008.

It's more that poeple are cheap and complain about everything and anything since the automakers wised up and placed stricter control over warranty's,as in only covering manufacturer defects as intended.

I remember when I worked at the dealership some of the crap that was warrantied that should not have been.A big one for me was I replaced the drivers seat cover(white leather) in a denali 3 times before it's 1st oil change. The leather got stained because the owner died her jeans and it transfered to the leather, not GM's fault or a defect at all.

Does the air bag system get disabled when the vehicle is in 4 low? I'm guessing it doesn't but every time I have wheeled my KJ (which hasn't been very much but still) I do worry about the air bag deploying...Keep in mind I'm coming from early 90's XJ's and YJ's that don't have all this stuff on them...
