Thanks for letting me read all you insights on sizes that work and how to make larger tires fit.
But, I couldn't help myself and had to have these tires after seeing them on a buddies truck.
They are 245/75/16 and are going on a totally stock 2003 pre lowered sport.
I will have them shortly and will eventually see if they will fit or not.
If not a lift is in order.
Anyone have these on theirs? How do they feel?
I'm not worried though, I think they look awesome!!!http://www.jeepkj.com/forum/images/smilies/pp.gif

Get ready to buy a lift
10 year old plus springs bet you're sitting at least an inch lower than stock right now
Of course if you don't care what it looks like hack away:happy175: until they fit

We had considered those for our Rig when we were first looking for tires.
But at the time we bought, they were only $25.00 less per tire than the Goodyear M/T R Kevlar tires.
Our tire salesman has has those Kumho's on his F-150 and told us to go for the Goodyears as they are stronger and better tires both on and off road!

Now at Tire Rack those KL71's are only $31.00 less per tire now compared to the
M/T R Kevlar's (which have an $80.00 mail in rebate offer right now)
4 KL71's= $784.00
4 M/T R Kevlar= $828.00
A difference of $44.00 more for the Goodyear M/T R Kevlar tires!

Just saying!

Ya i kind of figured by reading almost all of the posts.

I could ask questions about lifts but I think I would get slaughtered if I didn't edumicate myself beforehand.

I have a good price on the Kumhos mounted balanced for $216 per.
The MTRS would have been much more.

To get them from Tirerack would have incurred $300 more in shipping.
Then I would need to bother someone else to install and listen to them tell me that I paid too much.

Update.....

On Saturday my wife was driving on one of the major highways here in Toronto and was clipped in the rear end and eventually landed on her roof.
She skidded on her roof for 200 metres.
At the same time the guy that sold me the tires was delivering them to my house. So As we come back from the accident there they are on my driveway looking so sweet.
Friday I finally decided to go and order from JBA with the OME/Rancho set up for the lift that we all knew was inevitable. Fortunately, JBA is not shipping them.
The good thing is my wife is fine with only a sore neck, cuts, bruises and insecurities that come along with being involved in an accident.

Nonetheless, I now have the new tires mounted on the OEM 16 aluminum rims that I need to move. That the insurance company will not be paying for.
We will not be buying another liberty to put them on.
She still loves the jeep but now has sights on the Wrangler Unlimited.

If anyone is interested send me a message.

I'm glad to hear she is OK! Wow what a shock that must have been. That is exactly why I bought a Liberty ... I travel way to much on those highways to be in something that can't skid on its roof for 200 meters and still keep me and mine alive!

Glad to hear KJ did its job properly! How this happened?
She was driving 401 westbound in the express lanes when a lady driving a Pilot cut a Town Car off and spun him out.
The Town Car crossed 4 lanes and hit the Liberty right in front of the passenger rear tire.
The Lib. went sideways at 110 kph and flipped directly on the roof and went for a ride.
The Lib. is written off as well as the Town Car. The ladies Pilot had a small dent where she connected with the Town Car and she has an unsafe lane change charge against her.

According to the Pilot driver she made a lane change and a car hit her?????????

Since then she has now an Islander package Wrangler we get to pick up on Friday.
Thanks for all of your insights and concerns for the wife.
