I did some research on here and found some similar problems that my 06 is having but nothing that seemed to be the exact same. So yesterday I went on a 200 mile trip. Made it about 175 miles and I heard the chime and got 3 lights on the dash, ABS, ESP/BAS, and Traction Control Lights all came on. Hoped off the next exit and everything seemed fine, even though the lights were on. Decided to go the rest of the way to my destination. This morning all 3 lights came back on after about 5 miles so I pulled in, got gas and checked everything again, again, everything seemed fine minus the lights. Went to get back on the road and hit the gas and the traction control light flashed for about 5 seconds and I could feel the TC pulsing and not letting me move, there was no reason for it to have came on. Finally it stopped flashing and on it went like normal. Made it to the light, hit the brakes and they were hard as a rock until I got down to 35mph then the went back to normal. Went to go again and TC kicked in again...then went away. I stopped again checked everything out and said screw it. Drove 95% of the way back home with no problems(lights still on) until I hit stop and go traffic. Was stuck for well over an hour when suddenly the Jeep chime went off again and the Jeep died...Started it up and all was well for about 30 seconds then the Check Engine Light was on steady. I am going to start checking my rear harness and such first then move onto the check engine light(which should be a seperate issue). Does the ABS/TCS/ESP issue sound like it could be a sensor still even with all the odd behavior?

Had a mechanic scan my codes today and it came back with a communications error. Cannot read the engine, transmission, abs system, all just errors...

I am having a similar problem with all 3 lights on the dash, ABS, ESP/BAS, and Traction Control Lights all coming on. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR DYING. But I cannot get a code from my reader and cannot shut esp off. I wonder if it is all involved with a bad ABS module.

Only top of the line scanners Ie: SnapOn Modis & Ultra, Dealer Star Scan, are capable of reading those codes.
Do you know what kind of scanner he was using?
The reason I ask is that it is possible that the errors may be erroneous if the code reader is not capable.
Or if he has the proper scanner, there is a bus /connection error or a fried module.

one (or more) of your wheel speed sensors has failed, it is a simple fix and the parts are pretty cheap, hope this helps out
