I've seen a Wrangler with 42" tires with 2" of lift, works better then your Wrangler offroad since it was actually geared correctly with 5.38's and a 6.1 HEMI.

That person is a f*cking idiot. 0 flex. It must ride on bump stops. Hemis in Wranglers aren't for intelligent people who rock crawl. Yes it will work but for less he could have had a diesel and had a much more reliable ride. Do me a favor, when you see that person again, slap them for being stupid

Yup that is the 42RLE for ya
What ya gonna do.....

Oh and I love the adult sized lift and man tires
Typical JK owner talk......

Man Tire size is relevant to the vehicle. I'm not saying a samurai needs 37's because they are man sized for my vehicle.

How much experience do you personally have with rock Krawler? Anyone who has posted? Oh wait, just me I guess. Guess when it comes down to it, Tom (for his kj knowledge) and me for having personal experience and ownership of several of rock Krawler products are really the only ones qualified to post. Darn. Oh Btw all of my shocks are mono tube.

i live near rk, i wouldnt even buy one of there products to support the local economy, they are shit, the grade 2 hardware being one of many examples of them taking shortcuts to save pennies and putting out an unsafe product, the only reason they didnt close up for good is they have a contract with a couple local dealerships to lift new inventory. they have a horrible reputation.

Helped install their TJ coilover kit a few years back
not bad at all

Oh and I hate to bring you more bad news

But if you have Teraflex front shocks
As stated in post #28 back on page 3
Then you have Twin tube shocks ,sorry
And from the looks I got at the price
You also got ripped off
~$65 per shock for twin tubes
another $15-$20 gets you Bilstein 5100
and for double that $65 you could get top end
Bilstein 7100's valved to spec
You could also get the lower end Fox shocks
In the $120 range

And just so we are clear
You have a 3.5" lift? ,page 2 or 3
You have Rock Krawler products installed?
You paid under $700
I looked at their 3.5" JK lift and it is very complete
all but shocks and for that they recommend 5100's
even give the part number
But it comes with control arms ect. also cost near $1400
Now their 2.5" kit is $600 it also comes with adjustable
upper arms but no shocks
they also recommend 5100's for this kit
So what do you have on your Jeep again?

And just so we clear this up further, they recommend after market bumpers as well. When it's loaded down, rides fine. But I have nothing in my jeep. I don't even have doors on

And like I said money was tight. I needed something to replace the sky jacker since I had them sold. If I had a choice I'd go with fox or even ome now that they have some that are longer the 2.5

Sorry
They do not recommend after market bumpers
no where on their web site
besides that has no bearing on the shocks

You still have yet to tell me what lift you have
Is it a RK 3.5" or something else?
I even doubt it is their 2.5" coil based lift
As it comes with front LCA's
And you should also know this about the Fox shocks you see
advertised for the JK
They are not the same quality as their "racing shocks"
For their good 2.0 emulsion shock you will spend well over $150 each
and be fabbing brackets

Does it look like a 2.5? I thought anything under 3 was too much reminder of the KJ. Like I said, when I got my lift rk didn't have that stuff. They didn't have the 2.5 kit. All they has was the entry level kit, x Factor, and triple threat kits in 3.5 and 5.5.

Let me spell it out
You have a JK with a half azzed lift
and mall terrains
You come around talking about your
"adult sized lift" and "man tires"
Well there are KJ's on this board that are much
more modded and more capable than you JK
So I would suggest you get you "adult size lift"
working with the proper components for a lift that
high and you get some "man tires" before you tell
others how to build their rig

By the way
How are those twin tube Teraflex shocks working
oh yeah you have the only montube version ever made

I put this together with out having a steady job. No matter what condition its in its still more capable and worth more than what you have and I'm only 22.

I already have a list of things I'll be getting for it in the next two months that will make it even better than what you have. Honestly you can't attack me. Everyone here will tell you I don't back down. But I will leave it alone on this note: rock Krawler makes good shit but they don't make it for vehicle not meant for hard off road use (liberty commander wk)

Wait.

Isn't this a KJ section?

WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT JKs here?!

To summarize the question:

They make crap for the KJ.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

It was about rk Marlon. The kj has a tiny market and honestly isn't worth the time for them. It's a specialized

No.

In the JK world Rock Krawler Suspensions is an awesome company with awesome products, however most KJ owners think they leave something to be desired. What gives?

I just answered that (and I'm pretty sure others have too) question.

There's NO REASON for any of this "My penis is bigger than yours" discussion. NONE of it matters NOR is it appropriate for the section of the forum. It's all useless, ridiculous and a waste of web space. Also, do you work for Rockkrawler? If not, then I don't think you should be assuming why they make the products they do. Regardless, they are unsafe, and shouldn't even be on the market at all.

You've become a bitter mini incommando recently. Any person with a business mind could easily see there is a bigger market with Wranglers and xj's than kjs. Expansion into the KJ market started with a ****** spacer lift. From there it never took off. I don't think anyone at rk or any other company really cares too much to miss out on the KJ group. A few of companies make damn good products for it and a lot of people don't lift them in the first place. Bottom line is rk makes a good product and has good customer service.
