alright my girlfriend has an 06 diesel liberty and ive been looking and look on what lift she should get.

she wants a 2 inch or so lift, but she doesn't really need anything crazy because she doesn't go offroad very much... (not many places around here) so its mostly driven on the road. now i know frankenlift makes a great lift kit and everyone says to get the full coil springs but are there any spacer lifts for the crd? most specify not for diesel models but some don't....

i realize the coils are a better way to go but the frankenlift is far from the budget for someone who isn't an extreme offroader...

thanks

Just get the OME 790s for the front , 948 springs for the rear OME shocks front and rear (132Ls for the rear)
much better ride and handling than stock will give you the lift and no worries for several thousands of miles
looking at 750 or so for everything
with spacers and new shocks you'll be within 150 -175 of that price anyways
Do it right the first time and she'll be happy for a long time

Oh and again, I always laugh when someone mentions "they don't go offroad much anyways" Upgrading the suspension is not for off road use only, ask anyone and they'll tell you that on road everyday driving is way improved over the stock junk

Hi,

Go with Tom' advise, I have a CRD and I have fitted OME all round Struts & Coils ( and a bit extra, but not required). I have a different engine than yours, I have a 2.5 CRD instead of a 2.8 CRD and it's lighter, but once I fitted the OME lift if changed my handling completely and it's now great. Plus go with the rule do it once & do it right and save money.

Other option might be to have some H&R CRD coils shipped over from Germany, cheaper & will go with stock shocks but your lift will only be about 1.5 inc (40MM).

The frankenlift comes with the front shock assemblies assembled. So all you need to do is remove the old and install the new. Other than that I don't know.

Hi, well fitting a suspention lift has actually given my KJ more flex at the front and back, specially at the back, so....i don't get why anyone would say that, yes we have IFS but we still flex...and keep up with the SFA as well well as we can, but have a better ride on the road...

ok well im not saying kjs don't flex, im just saying she doesn't need it... well if i decide to go with the OME kit, what kind of tires can i squeeze under there? in metric terms please... she wants some different wheels that space out a little more so i wanted to ask if ill still be able to squeeze 31" or equal under there... and what is a good offset and backspacing to have them stick out a little bit more...

Let me 2nd , 3 rd or what ever place. I bought a Rusty's 2 " lift and the CRD
looked good . Then the springs started sagging and the struts went 6 months later.80k mls. Go with Boulder bars OME every thing. STOP THROWING YOUR MONEY AWAY WITH THOSE OTHER cheap price bolt on crap.Oyea JBA is reall good too. RRO SUX! ordered from them and 2 1/2 weeks later when i sent in a email to cancel my order they said it was read to ship.Still canceled. SPEND THE MONEY ON THE GOOD STOUGH.

The Frankenlift's benefit is that the front coil spring and shock is pre-assembled.
It includes custom made polyurethane coil spring spacers* that fit between the bottom of the coil spring and the spring perch on the bottom of the shock absorber. This is what gives your Liberty the solid two and a half inches of lift. (Once the OME coil springs are broken in and have sagged after real off road use.)*Green circle

You must be registered for see images attach

Then it also has a new top plate with hardware and new upper coil spring isolator. Blue circle
It also come with new rear polyurethane bump stops.
Yellow circle

Then of course you get the rear extended length shocks with boots.

The JBA Gen 4.5 upper control arms and rear coil spring isolators are not included in the Frankenlift lift kit.

I'd get at least one pair of rear coil spring isolators just in case.
Especially if you carry heavy loads like camping gear, recovery equipment, etc.
Or if you add some clevis lift. (Mind you I don't know if you can add any clevis lift on a CRD.)
If you do choose to buy some rear iso's, the ones that All J Products sell are polyurethane and will not pack down like the stock factory iso's do.
