hi everyone!

so i have a 2005 Jeep Liberty CRD and i have to add that this is one the most amazing machines i've ever driven. i like how it looks, how it drives and mostly that little turbo whistle you hear after you goose it!. but i've been feeling that lately it has been losing power and it feels like it is getting slower and slower each day. i remember when i first got it, it would be able to overtake anything and would just scream down that road and i used to be able to get it to drift on dry pavement and could do a burnout from a dead stop. in other words this thing had balls! but now lately it cant even do any of that anymore. i goose it to overtake someone and i dont feel the torque that would shoot my headback anymore, my foot will be to the floor and it will just try and hump its way past. i would like to know if anyone has experienced that themselves and how they fixed it because i miss that crazy little thing it used to be. thanks alot everyone!

First thing to check is that the CAC hoses, ie. the black hoses going to and from the intercooler are not torn or split.

It is best to remove the hoses to have a good look for any splits...if the hoses are damaged it is best to replace them with SAMCO silicon hoses.
I had a problem with low power....turned out a mouse had made a nest out of paper in my air filter housing which was blocking air flow!

I almost had the same thing Bill but I got the little critter before he could do any real damage, nibbled on some split loom and I kept finding fragments of blue moving blanket material under the CRD shroud!
You must be registered for see images
And in agreement w/Bill I'd replace those hoses now w/the Samco.Cut loose of the 250.00 bucks and treat your little Libby in high fashion:icon_idea:
