Hi guys im totally new here so apollagies if im doing things wrong.
I have a Jeep liberty 2.5 crd 03 reg and im in the UK
For a month or two my jeep hasnt been starting after i drive it a while and park up.at first i sprayed easy start into the air filter and it fired up straight away, now this isnt working at all.
I use injector cleaner in my tank every month or so and it starts cold everytime.
i get no warning lights on dash, ive heard it could be crank sensor but dont want to change it unless ive got a better idea if its that.
I can drive for 10 mins to the supermarket,go inside for 15 mins come out and it starts, but if i drive say 20 mins park up and try after 15 mins it wont start until after around an hour.
Please help

Do you have a clean fuel filter and have you primed it to get all air out of the system.
Most problems like this are air-in-fuel related.:freak3:

Gareth, hello from the States. As most CRD owners will attest a filter can be contaminated with just one fill up if the stations tanks were low and drawing up crud/moisture. A year is not a long time necessarily but it depends how many miles you drove in that year and again if you drew some dirty diesel. There should be a prime piston on top of your filter to use as a plunger to re-pressurize the filter.

still same problem

Hi thanks Rick,i primed it yesterday and it fired up,although that must have been coincidence.I drove for 30 mins today to a garage, filled up,got in and it fired up so drove home.tried to start it 30 mins later,no start.so i tried priming it and tried to start engine,no fire up.i must have tried priming a dozen times and still wouldnt fire up.
Its always after leaving it 1 hour it will start and drive fine :(
I will keep digging for answers, might replace the crank position sensor see if it helps and replace fuel filter too.
