OME and new brake pads installed!
I also got new rotors in front, the rear ones were fine so they stayed put.
The Jeep drives very nicely. I've only driven it to work so far, but I can already notice some differences. First of all, the Jeep sits more level, and is 2-3" higher than it was. There is SPACE between the tire and the wheel well now. Bigger tires will come eventually, but I want to run out the 29" Revos first. I will measure hub-to-flare all around and report my findings later. I didn't get pre-OME measurements though. Oops.
WHAT I'VE NOTICED:
-Bumps in the road are considerably less noticeable, and bumps that used to make me feel like the Jeep was hopping off the ground are now a non-event. For this alone, the suspension is worth it. Dips and speed bumps can almost be ignored. Can't wait to try it off the pavement!
-The Jeep corners and takes curves amazingly well. I honestly didn't expect it to handle this differently. There is less body roll through turns and around tight curves and roundabouts it tracks like a champ with none of the feeling of instability I had before.
OTHER:
-There is a slight vibration in the steering wheel at highway speed that wasn't there before. Feels like a wheel slightly out of balance, but I just had my tires balanced about 2 weeks ago. My thoughts are the original suspension might have masked something, or maybe something isn't quite torqued down all the way. It is very slight and only noticeable above 55mph, so I am not concerned since I'm rotating/balancing tires today and re-torquing in about a week.
-The new brakes work very well, but require a fair amount of pedal pressure until they're warmed up. It seems to be a common issue with the Adaptive One pads when they are new, so I can't judge them too much yet.
