I was thinking about trying to find some sort of programmer for my kj to recalibrate my speedo and possibly give me some extra power. However the only products really available for the liberty are the Jet chips and these Hypertech programmers. I saw that the Hypertech is only for 07-10 3.7L liberty's. But the 07's are KJ's so does that mean it would work on my 05? Or is there a difference in the 07 KJ I didn't know about?

Here are the part numbers for the two models they offer:

Max Energy Power Programmer - Part #52501

Max Energy Econ Power Programmer - Part #53501

i have the hypertech 52001 on my kk. i would call hypertech and talk with them about your situation. They can point you in the right direction. Good tuner, btw. you'll like the power

2007+ have "drive by wire".

I, too, am interested in this. Better power and economy? What were your experiences, Chris.

those hyper tech programmers, does anyone know if they'll work with a standard '07? I've been looking at them and it doesn't say anywhere.

I'm so sorry I haven't responded to this, guys. Ive since sold the KK. I got maybe 1-1.5 mpg gain in the city with intake, exhaust and tune. My truck had 33"s and 17"s with a lift as well. On the highway I could get 23-24 mpg if I cruised at 65 mph. It was a worthy purchase, definitely.

Our KJ gets 23-24 mpg with 31's fully loaded with camping, recovery gear, and food and extras.
Tuners? Pfft. not worth it unless you go the whole 10 yards.
