Does anyone know of a way to mount a winch on the front bumper of an 04 kj without adding a front hitch receiver? Anyone fab'ed a mounting plate?

Is this even possible?

Is there a way to mount it in the center of the bumper so that it's hidden and the cable comes out of the center slot? Essentially sitting where a front hitch would?

Would put winch in a bad spot-low and hard to fool with the cable. If you have never had a winch, there is more to it than let cable out reel it in. Detours is a slick looking deal.

X2.
Better to have a winch up higher where there is easier access to the winch, plug for the winch controller and the cable/rope itself.
Especially if the nose of the Jeep is buried or under water.
And yes, the Backbone is a excellently fabricated piece of equipment.
