OK, two questions:
1. Looks like I am headed back to Afcrapistan again, this time for a 1 year tour. I just finished up my 04 Rene with OME lift, JBA 4.5s and brand new 245/75 16 Cooper AT3. It has 72k on it and is paid for. Should I keep it or sell it?
2. If I do sell it how much? I am the second owner and have all service records . It is damm near emaculate for a 8 year old vehicle.

I'd keep it. You can always sell it when you get back if you end up really digging the new wranglers with the pentastar engine :jawdrop:

Also, thank you for your service, sorry you have to go. That war needs to end. It's a stone-age society, can't nation-build in Astan. We could spend another $10 trillion and 20 years there, and there wouldn't be a wal-mart and dunkin on every corner. Ain't gonna happen. Bring our warfighters home!

I'd keep it and wait till you get back since it's paid for. Never know what the economy will be like.

Like SMETNA said, thanks for your service!

Not the mountains.
Just keep it. Like you said, it is paid for and in immaculate condition. Use some of that tax free money when you get back to have some fun with it. I know I'm going to after my next deployment.:smokin:

Looks very clean, I would keep it! If you did get rid of it, anything in mind to replace it when you get back?

Best wishes on your 1 year tour.

"new wranglers with the pentastar engine"
Wow, that is the first I have heard that. Definitely something to consider.

Like the others have said, If it's paid for you might as well keep it for now.

Take care of yourself over there. Keep your chin up and your head down.

I would keep your new lifted Rene'!!!!
The cost of the "new" 2012 Wrangler with the Pentastar (Link) http://www.auto123.com/en/news/car-news/2012-jeep-wrangler-to-get-pentastar-v6?artid=132570is going to be $$ optioned well.
Besides from a comfort/space point of view the KJ is very good and drives excellent with the JBA 4.5 Upper A-Arms and the OME suspension.
Sure you can get the new wrangler but be prepared to to spend lots if you want to lift it with bigger tires, lift, lights and who knows what else.
I am still holding my breath for a new Jeep pick up! (would still keep my KJ though)

I'll hang onto it for you while you are gone, bring it on over to Camp Pendleton and I will be sure she gets plenty of love!

Good luck in Afghanland, do you know which part you will be in? Just got back from there a few months ago.

I say keep it. Is there any way you can drop insurance till you get back to save some bucks?

Be safe out there and thank you.

Thanks for the input and support. But the bottom line is what does everyone think it is worth? If I could get at least $13000 out of it I will probably sell it. I year of depreciation with no use out of it seems self defeating.

I doubt it. I can buy a newer one around here for less than that right now. I'm with the others, I say keep it for when you get back.

Thank you for your service!

If you decide to keep it, unless you have someone that can drive it around a little every week, be sure to prep it for long term storage. Thanks for your service!
