I was wondering what I should get since I just purchased a new Liberty sport, since I'm very new to all this I was wondering if you could give me a good place to start with a lift kit.

i have the 2" jba lift, on 17x8.5 (rough estimate) and 31" tires. I rub at full lock in reverse, and the lift is a decent height. liberty's already have pretty good ground clearance, this just gives it that little umph in stance and aggression factor. i say go frankinlift or go home :party52:

Stay away from anything that uses the stock springs, they aren't very strong. I used to bottom out on the bump stops all the time. I had a spacer lift or budget boost and ended up putting OME springs and shocks on. The ride and performance is incredible. JBA makes probably the best lift for IFS jeeps if you can swing the cost.

Lift on Liberty Latitude 2012

Hey guys,

I just got my Liberty Latitude with 18' wheel stock and looking to add good size tires and a bit of lift. Jeep dealer told me that they will buy the stock wheels/tires back since it's only been on the road for a few days with 50-60 miles on the tires. Any suggestion where should I start?

It depends what you're thinking. Are you planning to wheel it? How much do you want to spend. What I did was but skid plates first since mine didn't come with them. Then I made a mistake and bought a rocky road outfitters spacer lift and some tires. After that, I got stuck and during the recovery one of my tow hooks got pulled off so the next thing to put on was a Detoures backbone winch mount and a winch. Shortly after that I bought an old man emu lift and some small spacers to bring it up about 3 1/2". I just put on a set of Rocklizard skink super sliders which in my opinion are the finest ones made. There aren't many choices when it comes to liberty mods but some of the fabricators that are making stuff are some of the finest around.
As far as rims and tires go, a lot of people like Goodyear duratracs and crager soft eights. The TJ rubicon rims or moabs are real nice. If you want a set of stock rims, the 16" come in silver, charcoal, black and two tone silver/charcoal. Personally, I like the black ones unless you have the charcoal trim then I like the charcoal. It's really about what you like and are going to do with it.
Sorry my answer is so long but it seemed open ended ;•)
