That is 100% true for any auto part regardless of where or what it is and has been getting worse over the last couple of months.

Plus the whole charging of the card until it's ready to ship is going bye-bye with custom parts,to much risk on the other side if you back out.I had to wait 4 weeks for my rear shocks to be built which I had to pay before hand before they would even begin building them.

Yeah and refunding in a timely fashion too... Now I get a message from JBA saying that my card is expired, so they can't refund me. Card is not even near expired. Amazing how easily they charge the card, and they even knew, from the beginning that they had issues because Marlin told me he has orders from March unfilled. Unless, that's another ploy to make me be patient. I'm sorry but this is a joke of a company. I treat my pawn customers better than they treat their retail customers... All they do is lie and stall.

Just wanted to follow up on this. I did get a refund from JBA. They could not fill my order. I'm sure they are descent business with other things but I would not bother trying to order a adjust-a-strut setup from them. There is either issues with the system or they just cannot get the parts. Just a heads up for anyone else trying to order a adjust a strut system.

That's too bad you didn't get your lift.
You might consider a Frankenlift?
Well worth it IMO!

Cheers

I fell on their site a couple of times. What is the difference with that lift and the OME? Are the plates different than stock plates? I know it already comes compressed but I'm really not worried about compressing them. I just didn't see why they are that much more money than a standard OME lift.

More lift than using just OME springs and nothing else, and as mentioned already put together for you which for some is a huge bonus
Other then that they use OME springs and shocks and special spacers with a different top plate
these are the parts (minus springs and shocks) that make up a Frankenlift
can not buy them separate I scored these from someone who bought a Frankenlift and did not like it, he kept the springs and shocks I got the good parts:icon_twisted:

Thanks for the referrel. Just got off the phone with All J and my order is in. Just keep your fingers crossed that there is no back order. Even though now with this 100+ degree weather I'm routing for a back order. Cause I know I just would be impatient and start as soon as they come.:party52:

Never too hot
One of the guys from the western part of Indiana is coming over Saturday to redo his lift and have me rebuild his front driveshaft
So no problems turn on a fan in the garage and go for it!

Yup we'll get it done. Ok here is an amazing update. Finally, I found a company that sells Liberty lifts, that got their stuff together. Ordered it at noon and 2 hours later I already have a tracking number. So by next week I should finally be lifted.:party33:

Anyone know where I can find Moog outer ti-rods, besides JBA?

I just ran into this post after allready ordering from Marlin and I havent had any problems at all. I was originally going to order the 4" kit with Fox struts and shocks and he was very transparent with the fact it would be a month for the shocks to be built, shipped to him and shipped to me but I ended up just getting UCAs and LCA Bushings/LBJs because another project hit a wall and funds fell short. The Moog products shipped next day and the UCAs are being built to order so should ship next week. The reason that manufacturers build to pre paid order is cases like mine, I had the money in hand and set up the order then found an issue with my vehicle that took precidence so half the money went there instead. Also if you call in Marlin will build the order for half down and ship when fully paid.

He wasn't transparent with me at all! I contacted him prior to buying and was told it would be 2 weeks or so. 3-4 weeks later he's telling me about all the orders he has backordered from March and could not give me a ETA. Now I'm sure he can handle a drop ship order, but who couldn't? I just ordered my Frankenlift and so far am pleased how that company does business. I recently flooded out and wish I had the $1k back but I budget for my mods, so it will not effect me and will proceed with any deal, after I've shaken the person's hand. I don't make my problems other people's problems. Nor do I pass the blame. I personally will never order anything from RRO or JBA.

Sorry I don't consider it good business charging someone for something then a month later telling them it's backordered. I'm sure if I ordered a regular OME lift they could have delivered. Just don't order an adjust-a-strut because you'll be waiting months to receive it. Believe me I am the last person to complain. Maybe it's the pawnbroker in me that doesn't want someone holding my $2000 for 2 months for free. I normally charge $400 a month for that loan LOL...

Well I ordered one set of OME springs couple of years ago for someone and had to wait until they were shipped in, granted it was only a week or so but my money was out the door and I was waiting, not a big deal I didn't think.

I'm about to place an order for a pair of upper control arms from Al's. I'll let you know how long it takes to arrive on my doorstep here in Canada. Hopefully within two weeks.

It took a little over a week for everything to get in. 4 days for the Moog stuff, 6 days for the control arms, and the promised 10 days for the disconnects.
