Abnormal noise on the 05 limited...
When starting slowly from a stop, a ticking sound that appears to be related to wheel speed. If going slowly, the sound goes away at 6 mph, but if moving slightly faster, it becomes a steady whirrr.
Theres also a sqeak that occurs when moving around at low speed...

Any thoughts?

FWIW

1) Inspect U/Joints ( sqweak sqweak happened on me and they were toast )
2) may not be the case, but take a look at CVs
3) less probable but..check hub bearings ( rears too )
4) sometimes it's just a 'souvenir of the trail' stuck somewhere... :happy175:

Let us know.

I have the same problem in an '04 base model. Clicking noise going past 10 mph accelerating or decelerating. I checked behind the wheel and found a stick but even after removing it there is no change. Dealer checked it (it was in for an unrelated problem- engine light keeps going for O2 sensors? I think) and found nothing.
I don't hear it past 15 mph, but that might be because of the noise of driving.

if you have any rust around your rotors, take a hammer to it and go all the way around. Happens to me once in a while where the rust builds up and starts to rub. Just something else to look for that most people don't think of.

Check to rear brakes and the parking brakes. I just had to replace both rear rotors and all of the parking brake pads and a few small parts. I thought the sound was coming from the right front, but it was actually right rear.

That's actually a good point. I happen to have looked at my rotors today, while my upper control arms were being installed :badger_1: and noticed that around the outside of my rotors are pretty rusty AND... I have a similar noise while driving at low speeds. I also know for a fact that I need new brake pads as mine are getting pretty pathetic looking but the rust could definitely be contributing to the noise.

Just take your wheel off, put something on the ground to catch the falling rust, and tap your rotors along the edges while rotating them. Then pick up your mess. :emotions34:
