What the hail?!

My 2003 Renegade got pelted by hail ranging from golf ball to baseball size last week. Just had the windshield replaced Saturday waiting to see what the insurance adjuster is going to say about the rest of the body. :disgust:.

Sorry to hear, is the damage pretty bad?

21 dents and dings in the hood, roof, and passenger side. The windshield was completely spider-webbed, it had taken 5 hits.

Should have seen my KJ when it was 6 months old,got pelted with softball sized hail in which 2 of them went through my windshield.$5500 in damage and when it went from a all black Limited to a orange/black Limited.

Glad I worked at a bodyshop at the time,cost me only $3000 to fix for a $9000 paint job.

What ever you do do not have the roof skin replaced,the uniframe will be weakened some if the factory spotwelds are cut.I decided to bedline the roof and keep all the hail dents,not like you can see my roof anymore anyways.

Thanks for the tip. The only visible dents on the roof are right behind my light bar and above the rear hatch. I'm expecting them to try to get as many out as possible using paintless dent removal.

I just bought the Renny in March. My wife's van was on the only side of the garage that would fit a vehicle.

Got any photos to show us ??? How big are the dents in hood etc?

Wow that hail storm video say's got a helmet? Luckily I have never been caught in stuff like that.
Was there any lightning with that storm as well?

My wife's car was totalled by hail about a month ago. Actually worked out pretty nice. We went from owning a beater to a dimpled beater and having $3000....

Hope all turns out well with your Jeep with a new hood (I like Tim's suggestion!), windshield and the paintless dent repair.

We had a tornado roll right through Bellbrook. Thunder lightining, straight line winds. It was pretty bad for Ohio. Softball sized hail down in Bellbrook and golfball here in Kettering.

Not hard to rack up that price when you are playing with tri-coat paint jobs with massive amounts of pearl in it.

Yeah I saw that hood a couple days ago. Very cool!
There was some pretty wicked lightning.

As soon as the kitchen remodel is done. I'm making room in the garage.
