I want to put a set of new tires/wheels on my 2005 Liberty Sport. I was wondering if these combos without any lift would fit without any rubbing at all.

255/50R20 tires on 20"x8" wheels with +40mm offset.

255/55R18 tires on 18"x8" wheels with +18mm offset.

If these don't fit, can someone tell with what's the max size (tire and wheel) I can safely put?

Thanks.

None of those will work
It is a Jeep and not meant to have rims larger than 16" installed
Also not designed to run the craptastic rubber rim liners that you would
be running on those rims
Sorry but truth hurts

I had a feeling they wouldn't fit. I thought that they could fit 17"x7.5? That's what I saw on a lot of sites. Thanks for the help though!

here.. look at this..
1. remember this is a offroading centric site, so answers here will be leaned towards that
2. google the miata tire calculator.. and look at the measured OD of the sizes you want.

If theyre close to your stock size plus or minus an inch you might be ok..

thats just my opinion..

yup ,bone stock LTD's came with them
they look funny and are not meant for off roading
last time I wheeled with some one who had 18" wheels on a Jeep
all I heard about was him not wanting to
"scratch his rims"
sorry get it off the trail

Stock wheels with 245/70R16's is the max without lift or rubbing. If going aftermarket on rims they must be no wider then 7" with the same 5.5" of back spacing(+/- 0.25").For the tires they must be the same specs as the 245/70R16's in width and height or rubbing will occur, and may anyways depending on amount of coil sag and tread design.

Leave the dub rims for honda's and tahoe's,they don't look right on a Jeep.

Slightly North of the 49° th. Parallel... In HongC
There are a few KJ's toolin' around here with 18's and 20's with rubber band tires...
Slammed right down low!
Best to go to tire sites and make use of their tire size calculator and check what you can get away with.
Look at Car Domain, there are a few that go the ultra low profile route!
Not my cup of tea, but what ever floats your boat!
