Roof Rail Removal...

Anyway, I'm considering a new roof rack, and was wanting to take off the current roof rails to take a few measurements, and maybe con my brother into some welding.

Do the plastic end caps just snap together, and therefore just pull apart with some gentle prying?

Some pictures would be great...

just right budy...the exterior part is snape...ju pry it gently and you'll remove it. after that, just unscrew the both screw you see on each mounting and Tadaaaaa !!
