I am looking at putting a lift on my 04 KJ and RRO wont give a list break out of the parts they use. Does any one know the model numbers for the shocks, struts, & springs they get from OME (ARB)?

New Old Man Emu front custom springs. Model?
Old Man Emu front strut shocks. Model?
Custom full height rear springs. Full height! included. Model?
Rocky Road engineered rear shocks. Model?

Been pricing out the following shocks, struts and springs based on frankenlift and coming out cheaper than their kit.

FRONT

FRONT STRUTS OME NS131 $313.98 PAIR
FRONT STRUT SHOCKS OME927 H/D $150.00
STRUT TOP PLATE $50.00 PAIR

REAR

REAR SHOCKS OME132L $84.99 EACH
REAR SPRINGS OME948 H/D $150.00 Pair or each ? dont know
REAR BUMP STOP EXTENSIONS OME BSE $30.00 PAIR

Any other ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

Well first RRO likes to pay little games so that is why hardly anyone deals with them
But they are suppose to be using 927 front springs and OME shocks
NOW
they have changed to their own springs in the rear and their own brand of shocks. All I can say is to cheapen it up and not for you.

Check out JeepinByAl for everything
plus you can save some on rear bumpstops by just using 2 hockey pucks per side,
You can also use 4 OME springs and 4 Bilstein shocks for about 662
Have installed 3 KJ lifts with the above and they ride great and give as much lift
JBA also has the upper plates real reasonable as well

JBAs set up is nice , will prevent spring/UCA contact as well when going higher.
Frankenlift can get you over 3 inches of lift pretty easy
just sayin
or you can add some extras like 3/8 inch top plate, clevis lift etc and get to 3.5 inches as well

Jba 6" lift

Does any one have step by step pics of the install of the adjust a strut 6" lift? Also i priced it out piece by piece and am coming out with a savings of ~$1000. Their pics show skyjacker but the kit calls out for bilstein shocks & struts. also with the cutting and welding how long would this take to install?

x2 on good service and fast shipping from Marlin at JBA.

Anyone considering Rockfather or higher OME with shims and clevis, or especially even higher adjustables lifts I highly recommend the JBA upper control arms at the same time. Messed with both factory UCA and then the JBA 4.5s during my recent lift install and can say if you want an easier install and alignment and want to eliminate UCA contact with the spring straight away you can't go wrong.

Mine was a Canadian salt and snow attacked 02 so replaced practically every nut&bolt on the thing that I touched, they were rusted to s**t. Do yourself a favour and get all your fasteners online at the same time (I got a steal at www.moparonlineparts.com in NY) if any look like they're too rusted or seized - or ESPECIALLY if bolts that have the steel retainers (lower clevis, UCA mounts, stabilizer link to LCA etc...) that are damaged or rusted off the bolt head. They will not go back in well and never come out if you put the retainer-less old rusted bolts back in.

Small investments now when you have it all taken apart can save a lot of headaches later.
