hey guys i want to piece together my own lift kit (buy shocks and springs etc. seperate) because id rather buy a good shock and strut like bilstein rather than get cheap ones with a lift kit. For a good 2.5 inch lift on a 2002 3.7 KJ what springs and shocks/struts would you use? Would you buy OME springs? and is there anything else i would want/need other than springs and shocks/struts. im looking to spend around 700$ or less if possible. I don't want to buy some P.O.S kit that is going to sag after 2 years

2.5 in lift

well my 2.5 lift sagged but that bc where i drive daily is offroad over rough terrain but yet i plan to put the jba 4 in on once the baby born but i used rancho springs very tough rugged springs but takes alot of reserch to find the right pairs once i find the recept i will get you a part number but they hold up well mine lasted from 05 to now and i tow constantly with mine the front sagged from having to park my jeep flexed every night but now we have a diffrent house and it finished driveway so no more wear and for shocks i used rancho rs 5000 for the rear and used rancho struts for the front made a efficent lift for it and still allowed for a full lift and note to anyone lifting a kj dont use the rough country 3 in it is a shit lift ruins axles ball joints and the rear springs are way to soft

my gosh hard to read, my eyes get buggy
never heard or saw any Rancho springs for the KJ , Rancho RS shocks are cheap and won't last as long as the RSX line did

Anyways just did lift # 20 yesterday
he came in under 18 inches left at 22 inches after alignment
OME 927s/948s Bilsteins, one extra iso in the rear on top, terflex bumpstops up front, hockey pucks rear, 1/4 inch JBA top plate, and 1/8 ich clevis, JBA UCA 4.5s, sitting level

Hi Tom. Could you share a few secrets of your installer experience? :)
particularly, I wonder what is your favorite way of attaching lower control arm? When I did my daystar lift, and later, when I had to reassemble FWD suspension again, assembling coilover+clevis+LCA+UCA in place was a most difficult step. Could you tell your order of assembling steps?

Not hard to install at all
I install one nut to hold the spring assembly up in ( allows it to swing free somewhat)
attach the clevis to the shock and tighten the clevis bolt
on shorter lifts you can just push ( sometimes have to use a pry bar) to get the clevis back and the lower bolt in
On Frankenlifts and the taller lifts use two rachet straps one on each leg of the clevis and pull each leg in where it goes
Using this method I've installed the tallest lifts easily by myself
Some say you have to loosen the LCA to install a lift which is total bull
To install the UCA after having everything else attached and the nuts on the the top tightened put a jack under the LCA and jack it up, take a pry bar and stick it back in the spring and pry down on the UCA, install nut with pressure on and done

Holly run on sentence Batman!

Would some proper grammar and
actual real spelling hurt?

Yes, grammar and punctuation are very important. It's the difference between

"Helping my uncle Jack, off a horse" and "Helping my uncle ******** a horse.":pp:

just installed rear OME HD. easiest install ever - no tools necessary, only hi-jack and 15 minutes.
here is a photo of the Sexy One vs. Ugly Victim of Daystar spacers.

Installed forward OME HD + RSX17505 yesterday. Did it your way - it's really faster method, than I used before, thanks!
Here is comparison pics of stock coil and shock. Spacers are really an evil thing, wish I had understand it before and did it right from the beginning.
