Can somebody please post a pic of where the evaporative canister is?

Sorry at work cant do screen capture/upload, but it is located directly behind the gas tank on the drivers side. It looks like a canister.

Thanks.

I just got a P0455 code and one of the things it said to check was the evap canister. I checked everything around the fuel tank and everything looked fine. As for the fuel cap, I replaced it two weeks ago because I got a P0455 code then, too. I replaced the fuel cap the check engine light turned off. Now I've got it again. The guy I spoke to at Auto zone said I can exchange the one I bought for another one but I thought I'd check the evap canister before I did that.

I'm open to other suggestions.

I'm fairly certain I checked all the hoses going in and out of it but I'll check again tomorrow.

I hope it's just the fuel cap because I don't need another expense right now.

When My gas cap seal went it provided P0442, (Evap-small leak detected) and once I got a new dealer locking cap all was good. The secret with the caps are to click them tight, 4-5 times. Best to get under there and clean up those hoses and carefully inspect 4 any cracks. Smoke machines work best though for finding leaks.

Had the same code. Hose on the EVAP had dried out and cracked. Replaced it for a buck or two at most.

<--- recently got a locking gas cap from O'Reilliy's for $14... someone stole my gas while I was out of town. It's a cool one, I can set it for non-locking for while I'm home, and locking for while I'm gone
