Washed off the engine, Ran fine, Next day runs like crap

Ok, yesterday I power washed the engine bay off at the car wash with some degreaser and detailer. I left the car wash and it ran great with no issues, this morning I got up and drove to work and it ran great with no issues, today when I went to lunch everytime you put your foot on the gas it has a huge miss. I made sure everything under the hood was still plugged in. The light is also on and flashing at times and it shuts off at times. Seems to run fine when its not under a load. Any ideas what it could be??

If the CEL is flashing, that's serious, if it is not flashing just comes on and off intermittently it must have been a loose wire or crack in one of the hoses, plus it may not even be related to the wash, who knows.

I am not sure what you mean by a huge miss.. is there a lag? I would check throttle position sensor, it is one of the first things to go bad and easily fixed.

have you looked at air filter, is it wet? what about battery connections? spray electric connections with wd40, let it air out.

Did you cover coil packs so water would not get down in there?
Maybe the water is all sitting flooded around the coil pack..compressed air to blow it out.
What are the codes?

Ok, So I cleaned the battery terminals ect earlier which reset my check engine light. So when I went to autozone to read the codes the light is not on and I can't get it to come back on. It still runs rough like it has a small miss but the surge is noticably less now? I guess I will give it a couple of days to see if it clears up completley

Pull the coil packs bet you you'll find one or two wet on the bottom, seals break down after a while and will do that.

your Jeep is mad at you for cleaning it
I washed my Jeep once and a transmission line busted a few days after
ran it for over a year with no washes and trail riding at least once a month
with NO issues

Well without a code it could be many things,like Tom said pull the coils and see if there is water in the holes.

By the way I power wash my engine bay every sunday,have for 7 years without one single issue.That's 362 high pressure washes,with soap then without soap.

It came up with a random misfire code today and also a cyl 6 misfire. I am going out right now to pull all of the coils off and make sure they are dry.

I think i got it fixed, I pulled out all of the coil packs and two of them were wet. I dried them off and took it out on the road. At first it still missed but when I got on it real hard it finally cleared up and seems ok now. I think after I dried out the coils it needed to clear out the plugs because it wasn't firing correctly.

It is a good idea to keep the Jeep running in top shape to replace the stock NGK plugs every 20-25,000 miles. Also anytime you pull the coil packs use die-electric grease on the bottom of the coil pack seal.
If wet, a hair dryer can assist in drying out the area after compressed air was used.
