So.. i got my build sheet the other day...

and it says i have an "automatic dimming" mirror and i know for a fact that my KJ has no automatic dimming mirrors at all! i got it off the original owner ... said it was the same as the day he bought it.. anyone else have any build sheet differences like this?

Just checking, its talking about the rear view mirror mounted on the windshield. If there is a button on the bottom of it then its auto dimming.

Yeah, just the inside center mirror, dimming side mirrors weren't available for these (not that I've ever seen anyway).

I believe some 02's had dimming side mirrors.. Exports do also.

our '03 LTD had dimming rearview and side mirrors
as well as heated side mirrors
and they were VERY nice
the new ride does not have the auto dim feature and it kinda *****

ya mine doesnt have any auto dimming mirrors at all in it... but i think im goin to get a rearview and install it

Auto dimming side mirrors would be great, because there is always some d!ckbag who wants to hang out on your quarter with his brights on.
I just went through the 02-07 KJ factory parts manuals and even looked in the 08 KK for S&G's. No auto dimming side mirrors to be found. There are:
2003

[GTB] = Mirrors - Power Heated
[GTJ] = Mirrors - Power
[GTP] = Mirrors - Manual - Fold Away
[GPF] = Mirrors - Manual - Fold Away Black

[GUW] = Mirrors - Power Heated - Fold Away

and 2006-07

Lift it and that cures that issue fast.Now I return the favor on those HID retro-fitted "angry weed eaters" that sit 1" off the ground,1 headlight in there drivers side mirror and the other in there rear view mirror at stop lights which takes forever to change here.

They turn every thing a bluish color
trust me it had them

My Export just have the regular power heated fold away (manual)... Don't need a center dimming mirror b/c the factory rear tinted window blocks everything...

My build sheet shows "GNKP rear view auto dim mirror" under "optional equipment" and that is what I have. Side mirrors are not "auto dim".

Well ok then
And to correct my self only the driver
side was auto dim not the passenger
but both were heated

No one is calling you a liar, I just said it wasn't in any of the parts manuals. Usually (not always) that means it was not a factory build option (as in not available).

I am on the look out for the new owner
when I find him I will ask to snap a picture for you
the mirror had the little heater waves for defrost and said
"auto dimming" and had a noticeable square in 1 corner
also remember that I had an '03 with a 45RFE
so it was a early '03 meaning that is probably had a bunch of the '02 options
on it

So.. i got my build sheet the other day...
