I put my JBA UCA's on and while I was at it I replaced the struts and put some top 1/4 spacers between the body and top of strut. Yeah I got just under a 1/2 of lift but the biggest improvement feel wise is the strut. Mine were original Struts with 80K + on them. I thought they were replaced with the lift back whenever... but they were the stock units with taller springs...not a good idea anyway.
What a huge improvemnent in ride and stability.
The JBA UCA's really put the Ball joints in a much better angle and the alignment was no problem.

If you've got alot of miles replace your struts it's well worth the effort and/or cost.
I just used a set of Rusty's and they are Made in the USA by Tenneco I believe.
I was going to do an adjust-a-strut this fall but this is a huge improvement for now.:D

I think many of us have been preaching that for 6 -7 years yet few think its needed until they do it!
I have one guy who argues his springs and shocks are still the same as new at over 85,000 miles

Yeah, right, and Heather Locklear's unmentionables are the same now as they were 20 years ago, too, right?
*EDIT*
Wait, they are, they've been replaced (rotflmao)

Our ZJ has 175k miles and is 16 years old with the stock suspension. It still tows great and rides+handles better than my KJ with the OME shocks.

Glad I didn't get the OME shocks. My Rancho/OME is smoooooooooooooth!! I've been driving with the radio down for the past couple of days. Its actually peaceful.

Ohh I love my OME suspension, I wouldnt have any other suspension on my Jeep. But that ZJ still rides and handles better even though it has 175k.

I bet if you replace hose shocks on the 175k ZJ you would notice a difference. Maybe you've just got used to it....
But if it ain't broke.....

I think that's what happens. My KJ has 85k on it with original shocks... I know I need to swap them by virtue of the miles on 'em, but I can't say I notice a difference in the ride. I'm guessing I'll notice a difference when I swap 'em out.

what struts and springs(if necessary) would you guys recommend for a stock kj? Our 05 limited has around 70,000 on it, and i think its time. No lift, just stock ride height, and best ride quality that is possible. thanks
