I registered a while a go but haven't posted. I found this site looking up for ways to upgrade my Liberty. I bought it last summer because my other car died and I wanted a liberty ever since I rented one a year earlier. I liked the way it drove on the freeway and the ability to use it for camping. I had a corolla before that had no space and barely made it up hills.

So during December some fool tried racing down a tight street and wound up smashing right into me. My bumper got a little messed up but the damage the other car sustained made me realize I'm now driving a tank.

(welcome)

Too bad about the accident.

Gas mileage is one thing, but safety is another....I like feeling safe when I am riding high above the crowd...let them hit me, I won't feel a thing. (biggrin)

I am pretty sure it was the tow hook. Otherwise he would have gotten right underneath you.

The tow hook did seem to help keep him from going beneath the car. It got all bent up, I had to bang on it to get it close to it's original form but it is still a little off.
