I'm looking to free up some power from my 3.7 and I've read the easiest and most effective way to begin doing that it to allow the engine to breath in and out better. I'm thinking about doing a CAI and Magnaflow exhaust. I had an idea for a one off CAI. I've never seen it done before and there may be reasons behind it, I'm not sure but this is what I was thinking about. Getting some air intake tubing from a local auto parts store and running it straight out of the throttle body and down between the air conditioner condensor and the alternator. Then fabricating some type of bracket to support it between them. Them putting a K&N cone filter on the end of the tubing. Below is a photo with the added in stuff I'm thinking about. I thought to run down to the front of the engine instead of off to the side so that during the summer the electric fans which run almost constantly would be pulling cooler air through right there to reduce heat. This is just a concept if you can think of any reason this might not work let me know please!

Where do you envision the actual end of the intake? If you don't get it out in front of the radiator, then you won't have cold air. In fact, it'll be hotter than the air your KJ already takes in. Take a note of the existing intake. It's up high, to the left of the radiator. You may actually be taking in hotter air when you're done with your project.

ive watched the ltt intake, and honestly i dont think it does anything. its just as good as the stock intake and nothing more. if you put a filter right after the fan you now have a hot air intake, straight of the radiator. most people just do a intake of ebay that goes in the stock box location and call it a day
