I have my auto door-locks shut-off. But the tailgate still auto-locks. Any way to change this? FYI: No over-head console/settings. Thanks in advance!

Even with an EVIC (overhead console) it is not possible to change the tailgate auto-lock.

Remove the power source to the lock? Would that work or does it fail safe to locked.
The only way for you to do this to the cut the power to the lock. Which there is a plug and play type thing with a red tag. My rear gate didnt lock for years so my parents when they had it never kept anything in the jeep then when i bought it didnt keep anything in it bc it didnt lock. I got to looking at it one day found that the power thing had came loose so i plugged it back up and it locks now!
