So it rained all night here where I live. I go out this morning to head to work and notice I left my moonroof in the vent position. @$#%@%$%@%%#

There was drops of water all over the front seats and centre console. There was also water in the sunshield tray. Damn it:mad:

So I drove my Jeep into the garage, opened all the windows and opened the moonroof to full open so it can dry out.

Ugh...sorry I needed to rant.

I didn't check the headliner to see if it was wet. Gonna have to check that out tonight, but my KJ is airing out inside the garage at home so should be dry by the time I get home tonight. Again lucky it was in vent and not full open.

Yeah, tis a bummer. I'll leave my windows cracked here in the summer time when we get much less rain, and sometimes I get burned. But for me, 3 minutes with a dishtowel and I'm on my way.

Don't feel too bad guys, I'm no superman either ..... I once left a convertible open and, guess what ....

Not a tremendous issue, A/C on and blower at full speed (A/C dries out air ) and off You go!

If you'd have gone through a carwash with the top down... now that would have been comedy.

I left my sunroof all the way open during school one day since it was nice and I wasn't worried about anything, then after school I open my door to see a HUGE and I mean huge pile of seagull sh*t all over the console, cup holders and splaters on my seat! That was my first lesson to not leave it open in a parking lot;)

haha...I have done that and one better. I forgot it was open and I was through a mud pit with it all the way open and it was raining mud inside. I had mud EVERYWHERE inside the jeep and on me......haha. Took a while to clean it all out too....haha

Never did that again. Now I double check.

What I am most concerned with is the sunshield which was full of water and the headliner. I'm heading home in a while, so I'm gonna check that out.

Anyway, lesson learned. Sooooo glad it was just in Vent mode. Phheww.

Too Bad Kj does not have auto close when u shut it off. Well it is better than this action...
At boat launch, Mom backs up Kj with boat until ocean is at back tires. Dad gets boat off and headed to dock, meanwhile Mom forget to put it back into drive and floors it still in reverse!! Ocean up past the doors, shifts is forward, to get out of the deep and get's up the boat ramp, opens door, and the water is flooding out....LOL!!!! (no fish)
Time 4 new carpet etc?

Ugh, saltwater.

So the KJ mysteriously drove off in reverse! Alert CBS news! -that's a joke, by the way.

Don't feel too bad about the incident....I think nearly everyone that has had a sunroof has had the same experience one time or another.

I came home one night, after a few too many barley pops , and left my power moon roof open in my '81 GP....and of course it rained early in the morning....seats soaked. I learned my lesson....never buy a rig with a sunroof again. ;)

Well I checked my KJ this evening. Headliner isn't wet at all. The only thing that's still wet is the sunshield. I grabbed a air dryer and dried it up. All better now. *hugs KJ*
