Under seat subwoofer boxes - SOLD

SOLD

im selling my subwoofer boxes that mount under the front seats... they WILL NOT fit under power seats to fair warn you ahead of time... they are charcoal carpeted with terminal cups... I built them with perfect dimensions and internal volume to run the pioneer shallow mount 8" subwoofers (there is no guarantee that any other sub will fit, but I PROMISE that the aforementioned subs will). Boxes are mounted under front seats to the floorboard with 3 2.5" self drilling screws... boxes are screwed together along with liquid nails... exterior joints are also reinforced with 2 layers of liquid nails... and inside is completely sealed with wood caulk... Seats must be removed to install!

selling due to the fact that my new liberty has power seats

75 plus shipping cost for both

Will talk buyer through any questions for installation

tbj... the deepest sub you can fit is 5.5... the pioneers mount 2.5in with the material being 5/8in, leaving only about 2in dispersion inside... further note, that with the angle on one side of each box to get around the transmission hump doesn't leave much room to try and fit a NON shallow mount sub... as stated early, I can't guarantee any other sub except the pioneer shallow mount 8" will fit...

cohippy... do you have power seats?... if not, then the answer would be yes... and yes I would take paypal... the boxes prolly weigh ATLEAST 30lbs each, so I'd have to get a precise shipping quote for you

further information... seat belt sensor needs to be moved upward under seats... will show pictures of how i had accomplished this... VERY easy

PM sent, hey also where did you mount your amp? under the left rear seat?
Just trying to map it out in my noodle and figure that's one of the few places that are out of the way...

Actually I have 2 amps... one under each side of the rear seats... I removed the factory jack, and put that in the back with the rest of my gear... One amp would is just fine for the subs... there is just more space under the passenger side rear seat... so make sure you measure whatever amp you are goin to install, and compare its width to the width between the support bars under the driver side rear seat... I pulled the seat cover off... mounted 2 pieces of flat steel between the side rails under the seat cusion, and mounted the amp upside down the the flat steel... completely unneccessary, just figured I would keep it hidden to maintain the factory like appeal

This is really nice and clean, but I can already hear the complains from the passengers how cramped it is back there, when they don't have any room to slide their feet under the seats, believe it or not, that makes a huge difference. Be ready to get knees massaging your back with these stuff under the seats. :)
If you are not the airport picker upper, it is great. :D

Amen to that TBJ... Heidipin: in all honesty, my brother is 6'4" 350lbs... I asked him if they were in the way, and he said he didn't even notice them... Furthermore, what the heck do I care about the passengers in the back seat... sure beats losing half the space in the cargo area by sacrificing the comfort of anyone but myself... also, the factory floor mats come right up to the box... so if they needed more room for their feet, they would be putting them all over my carpet... Can't have that now!

That's a good argument. icon996.gif

Thanks heidipin... im used to seein people slingin mud... and not with their tires...

I have to make a new set for my 06 with power seats... I'd like to make them out of fiberglass, so there could potentially be a better diversity of subwoofers that could be used... also, if it will work with the power seats... it will work with the non-power seats... i'll see what i can come up with

tbj: i wrote out full instructions on rerouting the underseat wires and installation... i believe I MIGHT have the plans somewhere... I know I can throw the measurements down on paper... I measured over and over and over again to make sure they were right... hell I didn't like the first set I made, which never even got the top mounted, but it gave me a reference as to where changes were needed to made... cohippy got the second and last set I made... but I'm sure I could get the dimensions for you... give me a couple days to look through my files... or you can wait a few weeks til I have time to start planning the new ones out...

I know this is an ancient thread, but did anyone ever get the plans for how to make these?
