KJ924, I'm looking at putting some hellas on my bumper. Did you drill right through the plastic or did you reinforce it somehow?

Well then, We will have to ask Tan for some nicely lit racks for his next post!:D

I'm sure Tan can hook us up with no problems...:p

I drill thru the plastic bumper, which will support the lights....problem with my lights is that the housing is deeper than the Hellas and it moved the mounting hole out towards the front on the bumper about another 1"...so that I missed the steel support behind the bumper skin. There is a thread on where and how to mount lights to the bumper....it just didn't work for me with the KC's.

Round Surface Mount?

In preparation for mounting on the push bar, does anyone have a link for a round surface mount? I really don't want to drill any holes in bar. Have not measured it yet with caliper but some where around 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter.
Ryan you got a vernier caliper?

I was just poking around the forum, the only other thread I found was about installing fogs inside the grill. Do you think it'd be possible to drill into the metal under the plastic bumper, or would it be better to just go through the plastic and reinforce underneath with some flat steel?

Depends on the lights you are going to install....Hellas would be good since the housing body is shallow, they can be set back towards the grill closer than I could mount my KC's....where I drilled into, there was a 2x2" square channel/box running from top of bumper down towards the ground...had to cut some plastic from underneath to get the socket and nut up inside to get the lights tightened down. I didn't get any pics of the install as it was as cold as a mother in laws kiss that day....and I wasn't in the picture taking mood..;)

Check the how to section for bumper measurements

Here's something to read.

You can go with the factory oem bumper mount Renegade fog lights. The msrp from the dealer is only about $125. It includes the lights, the multifunction switch, a relay, fuse, mounting brackets, etc. I got mine on ebay for $59 + $12 shipping. The instructions are excellent and they even provide a template for notching out the bumper.
